Registering as a Seller on Lazada

To kick-start your journey on Lazada, swift registration paves the way. Visit the Lazada Seller Center and sign up for your seller account. 

You’ll find three types of registrations available: Lamall Seller, Local Seller and LazGlobal Seller. As a small business in Malaysia, choose the option that best aligns with your venture.

Next, you are required to create an account.

If you are an individual seller, here are the documents you required to produce:

  • Business Registration Certificate (SSM)
  • List of Directors (SSM)
  • Bank Statement
  • SST Letter (If applicable)

If you are creating a Lazada account on behalf of an organisation, here are the documents you are required to produce:

  • List of Directors (SSM)
  • Business Owner Identification (NRIC)
  • Bank Statement
  • SST Letter (If applicable)

The next step would require you to verify yourself using a mobile phone.

Don’t panic! 

These merely help Lazada confirm your authenticity as a seller.

You will also be required to verify your email upon setting up your Lazada Seller account.

Setting Up Your Lazada Store

After successful registration, it’s time for the real magic: setting up your online store. Start with updating your store and business information in your profile, letting potential customers know all about you and what they can expect.

Have your products ready? Perfect! You need to add at least three products to your store initially. 

Navigate to “Manage Product” and then “Add New Product,” fill in the specifics – product name, images, category, brand name, product variants, descriptions, delivery, and warranty details. 

Remember, detailed and attractive product narratives entice customers!

Shaping Your Lazarus Storefront

Next, Lazada offers you a unique “Store Decoration” feature to get creative and customise your storefront. 

Make it aesthetically appealing, easy to navigate, and consistent with your brand’s voice.

Preparing the Grand Opening: Lazada’s Pre-live Checklist

Before your products can start ruling the Lazada world, ensure they pass through Lazada’s Pre-live checklist: at least three products uploaded, products passing a quality check, uploading one mandatory document for verification, and a successful courier account creation.

Side note: Always upload high-resolution photos to ensure that your products are properly displayed and eye-catching to your potential customers.
