Jose Rizal<\/h3>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"600\" height=\"410\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.ninjavan.co\/en-ph\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/08\/jose-rizal.jpg\" alt=\"Jose Rizal\" class=\"wp-image-12705\" style=\"width:492px;height:336px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"><em>Dr. Jose Rizal, the national hero, also ran several businesses.<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>As the country\u2019s&nbsp; national hero, Rizal is famous for being a prolific writer and advocate for Philippine independence. He established a cooperative called &#8220;La Liga Filipina&#8221; that aimed to unite Filipinos and promote social and economic progress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But he also had various business ventures, including a pharmacy, a retail store and a trading company. His entrepreneurial activities helped him finance his travels abroad, where he further developed his ideas for Philippine independence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. He had an entrepreneurial spirit and engaged in various business endeavors, including agriculture and real estate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Popularly known as Goyo, he was actively involved in agricultural ventures and owned a rice mill.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3. He served as the country&#8217;s first Prime Minister.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Alongside his political involvement, he also established a school for the deaf and blind, demonstrating his entrepreneurial and educational pursuits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">4. Artemio Ricarte opened a Filipino restaurant during his exile in Japan.<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>Known as the &#8220;Father of the Philippine Army,&#8221; Artemio Ricarte was a veteran and played a significant role in the Philippine Revolution. He also fought against a new occupation during the Philippine-American war.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During his self-exile in Yokohama, he and his wife opened a small restaurant called <em>Karihan Luvimin. <\/em>They also engaged in the real estate business, which enabled them to buy three houses in Japan. But in all the years they stayed in the country, Ricarte&#8217;s dream of an independent Philippines never waned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">5. Carlos P. Romulo<\/h3>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"333\" height=\"420\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.ninjavan.co\/en-ph\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/08\/Carlos-P.-Romulo.jpg\" alt=\"Carlos P. Romulo was a newspaperman and ran one of the <br>first Filipino newspaper companies in the country.<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>General Carlos P. Romulo was a distinguished diplomat, statesman, and a World War II veteran. He was a co-founder of the Boy Scouts of the Philippines and president of the United Nations General Assembly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Alongside his illustrious career in public service, he also had entrepreneurial interests and co-founded a newspaper company, <em>The Philippines Herald<\/em> in the 1930s.
